Meet Dr. Hutton & Our Staff
Connie C. Hutton, MD
received his undergraduate degree from North Texas State University and his
medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston,
Texas. He completed his surgical internship, general surgery residency and
thoracic and cardiovascular surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma
Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dr. Hutton is a member of several medical societies and fraternities, including the Texas Medical Association, Texas MPAC, Texas Medical Foundation, Society of Thoracic Surgery, Montgomery County Medical Society, and the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Dr. Hutton has been honored with several awards throughout his medical career, including his fourth consecutive year as a "Recognized Texas Super Doctor" in cardiovascular surgery by Texas Monthly. Dr. Hutton's proudest accomplishment is his recognition by the Guidant Corporation in to the "Beating Heart Hall of Fame" in February, 2005, for over 1,000 OFF-PUMP surgical procedures. He has most recently been selected by Consumer Research Council of America as one of "America's Top Surgeons" for Cardiovascular Surgery. Dr. Hutton served as President of the Montgomery County American Heart Association in 1993-1994. He also received recognition for the "Beating Heart Hall of Fame and EVH Leadership Circle" for 1,000 beating heart bypass cases and 2,000 endoscopic vessel harvesting cases.
Dr. Hutton's biggest strength is his name. He has been a physician for more than thirty years, and in that time he has been awarded several honors, written medical abstracts, been appointed to several boards and served as president of several medical associations and community organizations. He is a renowned surgeon and has been recruited by both Texas and Colorado to build successful open-heart surgery programs. Dr. Hutton has a wonderful presence and adds his personal touch when caring for his patients. He has stated that "I like taking care of my patients from the first skin incision until the last stitch is in." He thinks that pre and post-operative visits are important in the patient's care.
Opportunities to Serve
Dr. Hutton has been in private practice since 1979 and opened his Conroe practice in 1989. He served as Chief of Surgery at Conroe Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in 1992 and 1997. He and his wife, Neva, founded Parents Against Cancer of Montgomery County and have continuously served on the board of directors.
A Staff with Experience
Dr. Hutton's staff also serves as strength for the practice. Gloria Hunt, office manager, has been with Dr. Hutton since 1992. Dr. Hutton's surgical assistant, Lori Parker, L.S.A. has worked for him since 1988. Having an experienced staff who know the patients well gives his office an atmosphere where patients thrive.

Originally from Greensburg, PA, Lori moved to Texas when she was seven years old. Both of her parents work in the medical field as well. Her mother is a Registered Nurse and her father is a CRNA. Lori graduated from Odessa College in 1987 and finished her Bachelor's Degree at Sam Houston State University in 2003 . She has worked for Dr. Hutton since 1988. She is a Certified Surgical Technologist and Certified First Assistant certified nationally and a Licensed Surgical Assistant licensed in the state of Texas .
Gloria Hunt, Office Manager
Gloria was born and raised in Texas. She has three children and five grandchildren. She has worked for Dr. Hutton since 1992. Gloria handles all front desk and check-in activities. She answers all incoming calls, schedules appointments, and obtains insurance verification and pre-certification when needed. She also serves as the billing and accounts manager as well as maintains all medical records.
